Moments & Voices from Our Retreats

Psilocybin: from sacred plant
to clinical research

Psilocybin is a naturally occurring compound found in certain mushrooms — and in truffles, their underground fruiting bodies, which are legal in the Netherlands. Once dismissed, it is now among the most actively studied substances in psychiatry and neuroscience.

Burnout & Anxiety

A genuine pause in the loop

Burnout and chronic anxiety thrive in the same mental circuits responsible for rumination and self-criticism. Psilocybin temporarily quiets these patterns — not through suppression, but by offering the nervous system a real interruption, and the mind a different vantage point.

Depression

Where other treatments stop working, this one is just beginning

Clinical trials show psilocybin-assisted therapy achieving around 58% depression remission at 12 months — compared to 18% with conventional treatment. The results are especially striking in people for whom antidepressants have repeatedly failed.

Addiction & Behaviour Change

Interrupting patterns that feel impossible to shift alone

Whether it's substances, compulsive overwork, or deep emotional avoidance — addictive behaviour is held in place by deeply grooved neural pathways. Psilocybin creates what researchers call a "window of opportunity": a period in which those pathways become genuinely moveable.

PTSD & Trauma

Loosening the grip of what the body still holds

Trauma lives not only in specific brain structures — in fear memories and rigid self-narratives that persist long after the event, but also in the body. Psilocybin promotes neuroplasticity creating conditions for the brain to finally process what it could not before as well as the positibity to released emotions and reset the nervos system.

Brain Plasticity

Reopening a window you thought had closed

A single dose has been shown to stimulate new growth in the brain — increased dendritic density, new synaptic connections — with effects measurable weeks later. Researchers describe it as briefly re-activating a developmental window: an unusual openness to change, a state that we last had in childhood.

Our retreats at a glance

Our retreats are deep immersions that weave together legal psilocybin truffles, breathwork, and body-oriented practices — creating the conditions for transformation that goes beyond insight and reaches into the body, the nervous system, and the patterns held there for years. They are designed as a rite of passage: a journey with a clear arc. From building the Foundation through solid inner work, the conscious Death of the old self, cultivating the Courage to confront and transform limiting beliefs, and finally — for those ready — a deliberate Rebirth into a life lived with full authenticity and purpose.

Foundation

A safe and supported entry point into deep inner work — combining breathwork, body-oriented practices, and one or two guided psilocybin truffle ceremonies to help you reconnect with yourself, release what weighs on you, and gain clarity on what truly matters.

4 days / 3 nights
or 6 days / 5 nights

Death

The second stage of the journey and the element of earth — a conscious and ceremonial letting go of the version of yourself you have outgrown. For those who have done the foundational work and are ready to release, fully and deliberately, what no longer belongs to the life they are choosing.

5 days / 4 nights

Courage

The third stage of this journey. This retreat is for those ready to go deeper — a 5-day immersion works with the element of fire to illuminate and move through the limiting beliefs, outdated patterns, and inherited identities that keep you smaller than you are.

5 days / 4 nights

Rebirth

The culmination of the arc — a celebration and embodiment of the life you have chosen to step into. Grounded in everything that came before, this retreat is about landing fully in who you are becoming and beginning to live it, not as a future possibility, but as a present reality.

5 days / 4 nights

The three pillars of our work

Body awareness & breathwork

Guided practices that build the capacity to feel what is happening in the body in real time — without needing to escape it. Different breathwork techniques serve different purposes: calming the nervous system, releasing stored emotions, and preparing the body for deeper work.

Why it matters

Trauma, burnout, anxiety and depression often live in the body long after the mind has tried to move on. These practices expand the window of tolerance — gently and incrementally. You develop the tools to regulate in the moment, and you learn, repeatedly, that difficult feelings pass. This is the foundation everything else is built on.

The psilocybin ceremony

One or two guided ceremonies in a safe and carefully prepared setting, with a calibrated dose of legal psilocybin truffles. One ceremony lasts approximately four to six hours. This is not a recreational experience — it is held with intention, structure, and full professional support throughout.

Why it matters

Many people describe it as years of inner work condensed into a single day. Old, stubborn thought patterns weaken. The self-critical voice softens. People experience self-acceptance — and are finally able to let go of guilt, shame, and the weight of the past. The nervous system goes through a profound reset.

Preparation & integration

Individual and group support before and after the ceremony — combining body awareness practices and breathwork. Preparation builds the safety and capacity needed to go deep. Integration provides the daily tools to consolidate what shifted and build a new baseline.

Why it matters

A ceremony can be compared to jump cables on a dead battery. The engine starts again — but you still have to drive yourself to your destination. Without integration, insights fade. With it, what shifted in a day becomes a new way of living. This is where the real transformation takes root.

Your Guides on This Journey

What to expect

The program

Typical schedule

Each retreat follows a carefully designed arc: arrival and opening, days of body-oriented practice and breathwork, the psilocybin ceremony, and a dedicated integration day before you return home. Every element is sequenced with intention.

Typical daily flow

Days begin with morning breathwork and meditation, move through body-based practices, shared meals, and personal time. The rhythm is gentle but full — designed to keep you present, supported, and gradually opened for what lies ahead.

The venue

Our retreats are held at De Stille Kracht — a restored barn set on 3.5 acres of nature in the Netherlands, reserved entirely for our group. Private, quiet, and away from the noise of daily life.
